GREATER ELDORADOPARK YOUTH INNOVATION HUB

The Greater Eldorado Park Youth Innovation HUB (GEPYIH) was established in 2013 in accordance with the NPO Act of 71 of 1997. Our mandate is to coordinate and implement the delivery of education through training and development strategies for the youth and community of Eldorado Park including Kliptown, Devland, Freedom Park, Slovo & Klipspruit and Soweto at large. In an effort to combat the challenges that affect the community and ensuring sustainability, the GEPYIH is now powered by E-Tech Varsity in ensuring that the required standards are met and the youth is skilled through accredited courses and recognized qualification which contribute to the creation of employment opportunities especially for those previously disadvantaged. We are committed to promoting and facilitating the youth and community with relevant skills, creating sustainable livelihood and employment opportunities. To support our vision, the GEPYSDC provides enabling opportunities and mentorship for youth progression, sustainability, and prosperity in an efficient and professional manner. Our values include transparency, fairness, integrity, innovation, alleviation, diversity, and perseverance. The GEPYIH organogram consists of a Board of Directors and a staff complement of 6 members who manage the day-to-day activities at the Centre. We offer accredited programmes through Services SETA and have signed an MOU with MERSETA to implement skills programmes aiming at alleviating the Centre to embark on the artisan trade qualification relevant to the targeted community. Our programmes include the Advice and Referral Programme, Social Programme, Welding Practical Training, Business / Entrepreneurial Programme, and more. We cater to various target groups and continually engage with stakeholders to address the challenges faced by our youth and create sustainable livelihood through accredited programs training initiatives. Join us in our mission to provide the necessary skills and knowledge to address the needs of the community and empower the youth for a better future.
